Improve Your Pitch (Female Singers) 🎡πŸ”₯

These exercises are separate from our warm-ups. Once you have gone through our warm-ups, try these pitched exercises to strengthen your musical ears and your voice’s ability to match pitch.

Maintaining relaxed and speech-like tone throughout each key’s exercise while also focusing on matching pitch exactly. Take mental notes on which pitches sound too low in comparison to the piano and try to make adjustments to your pitch to gradually improve your intonation. 

As you first attempt these pitched exercises, use whichever vocal register feels most comfortable (chest vs head voice), but as your physical capabilities and pitch/intonation improve, feel free to experiment with stretching both head and chest voice throughout the different pitch ranges to improve your intonation with each register independently. Improving your pitch both while belting or using a more gentle head tone will be valuable, as there are many songs that require varied usages of your tone, but all songs require excellent pitch/intonation.
