Voice Connectors: Info

Our third category of exercises is called Voice Connectors. These exercises are designed to help you seamlessly transition between your head voice and chest voice using voice buzz, allowing you to maintain a consistent tone and volume throughout your vocal range. This provides your voice with enhanced stability and control in the area that most singers struggle with.

The goal is to avoid any noticeable breaks or cracks in your voice when switching between vocal registers. To help easily connect registers, you should use a completely relaxed and crackly tone at the point of transition! Over time, you will gradually be able to reduce the crackles around your point of transition as you build strength and control over your voice buzz to connect with a more full tone.

THE POINT:

  • Increased control over vocal tone/registration

  • Eliminating breaks between registers

  • Reducing tension/strain around the point of transition between head and chest
