Introduction/How to use the Singing Secrets Course

Hi! I’m Zack from Taylor Academy of Music, and I want to personally thank you for choosing our singer’s program, Singing Secrets! We've created this program to provide you with a step-by-step walkthrough on how to drastically improve your voice’s range, power, stamina, freedom, and artistry. We're both honored and thrilled to partner alongside you on your journey of taking your voice to the next level!

To start, I’d love to give you a 30,000-foot view of what this course practically does for you, how to use it most effectively to see consistent vocal progress, and how to adjust your thinking as a singer so you can grow quickly and consistently.

What does this course do? If I could wave a magic wand right now and give you a perfect copy of your favorite singer’s voice — their throat, their larynx, their vocal folds, and all the other muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments associated with singing — would you be able to perform at their level? Most people, myself included, wouldn’t be able to. 

That’s because there’s countless aspects to singing other than the physicality of the voice itself that are so important to a singer's overall skill. Some of these include: muscle memory, pitch, intonation, rhythm, artistry, registration, tone control, diction, vocal health, vocal warm-up and exercise routines, how much volume to use, and finding unique aspects of your voice you can use that lie outside of the ā€œrulesā€ of the vocal technique we teach. 

All of these habits and decisions factor into a singer’s ability to use their voice effectively. For most untrained singers, even if they were magically given the perfect singer's throat, they wouldn’t know what to do with it. The purpose of this course is to take you step by step to help you develop the habits, mentality, vocal strength, vocal flexibility, and knowledge to be the best singer you can be.
