Voice Stretchers: Info

Our second category of exercises is called Voice Stretchers. Use medium-soft volume and clear/non-breathy for each vowel. You should focus on isolating each register (head vs chest) independently in order to stretch and strengthen both! Make sure not to sing too large of a range to where you accidentally slip into a different vocal register than intended! 

THE POINT: 

  • Increase your voice’s total range of motion 

  • Improve control and range of head/chest registers independently

  • Provide muscle memory in different vocal ranges/registers on every vowel
